Expand Opportunity

Your zip code should not determine your destiny. We are fighting to fully fund education, reform the justice system, and protect civil rights for all.

A group of children, teachers, and community members on a basketball court holding a large check for $3,000 made out to Oliver Elementary. The children are smiling, some holding pom-poms, and wearing casual and cheerleading outfits. The background shows more people and a gymnasium wall with colorful panels.

Public Education

Fighting against vouchers that defund our public schools. Every child deserves a fully-funded, world-class education.

Civil Rights

Defending voting rights, protecting reproductive freedom, and securing equal protections for the LGBTQ+ community.

The Fight for Equality

True opportunity means dismantling the systemic barriers that hold people back. For too long, Alabama's laws have favored the wealthy and well-connected at the expense of working families and marginalized communities.

As a Marine, Neil Rafferty fought to defend American freedoms. In the State House, he continues that fight. He has stood against voter suppression tactics, fought to repeal discriminatory laws, and is a leading voice for comprehensive criminal justice reform in a state with one of the highest incarceration rates in the world.

We cannot claim to be a state of opportunity if that opportunity is only available to a select few. We must build a system where everyone—regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or economic background—has a fair shot at the American Dream.
— Rep. Neil Rafferty
